Good academic
writing demystifies, and simplifies
complex ideas.
If
the water is dark the lake must be deep
(avoid such
sentence in scientific/academic writing as it overcomplicates things)
This
is not a mistake but a habit that could not fit into an academic writing. Malay
culture tends to signify “round around the bush” kind of thing. We prefer
theatrical over direct actions as the latter deemed inappropriate. So this
habit has to change. Write in simple sentences and direct to the point.
